The 4th of July.  Where can all Veterans go to watch fireworks?  The Tacoma Freedom Fair.

The largest section of land in the two mile event is called "Camp Patriot."  For almost ten years, the La Stella Foundation has produced a place for Veterans to have a great day of fun with the family.  This year, Camp Patriot is sponsored by Veterans United Home Loans and co-sponsored by other great entities who have given generously to make it all happen.

What is all there?  Come meet all the Veteran Service organizations such as AMVETS, the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and great non-profits such as the National Alliance to End Veteran Suicide and the USO!

There is a stage with live music and entertainment all day.  There is a hot dog eating contest for Veterans which is a lot of fun.  The USO is cooking up some great hot dogs for everyone.  We also have a Kidz Zone which will ensure that your kids have a ton of fun in the bouncy houses and playing games.

You can also visit the rest of the Freedom Fair which is a two mile event and has 7 stages of live music with great bands that will keep you rockin' all day.  The beer gardens are a great place to meet others.

At 8pm, the talent show, "Armed Forces Icon" produced by Internationally acclaimed singer and recording artist, Tony LaStella and Veteran entrepreneur, Dave Maestas, a retired Army "Green Beret" will give you a show highlighting the talents of our Veterans and military as they sing the night away.

At 10pm, one of the top fireworks shows in the USA commences and you and your family will enjoy an amazing fireworks display.
