• When it comes to success in any arena or endeavor, the first thing to determine is whether or not those you are associating with are team players. One of the many traits that I have learned and embraced during my formative years was the importance of team work. From participating in sports and through my career in the U.S. Army Security Agency in the early 70’s, I have molded the concept of team work into all corners of my life. As graduate of the Albers School of Business at Seattle University, with a degree in Marketing, I bring fresh and new ideas to the marketplace.
I began my successful sales career with Spider Staging Scaffolding in 1979 and held positions as a salesperson, Branch Manger, Regional Sales Manager and Vice President Sales and Marketing. I've continued my successful business sales career when I entered real estate in 1989 with John L. Scott. I became an Associate Broker in 1999 and my production in closed transactions resulted in being recognized and included in the John L. Scott “Presidents Club" for many years. In 2006I wanted to resume my career in management and training so I purchased the John L. Scott office in Des Moines from the John L. Scott Corp.
I have been acticve in coaching youth sports for over 40 years. I have coached baseball for South Highline Little League, Burien Pony League, American Legion Jr. & Sr. baseball teams and 5 years at Evergreen High School. In addition to baseball, I've coached basketball for the Boy’s and Girl’s Clubs in Washington and California, YMCA in Southwest King County, as well as the Des Moines Rec League. The skills I have learned and developed from coaching over these 40 plus years have been a valuable asset to not only my career but also to those I have coached and trained in the business world. Along with my fellow brokers at John L. Scott Des Moines, we support many local activities and charities, such as the Ronald McDonald’s House. As President of Destination Des Moines our Board of Directors has brought back the Waterland Festival and Parade, The Waterland Wheels & Keels Show and DDM has produced and raised funds for the Fireworks Over Des Moines Show. Along with many other events we work diligently for the success of the community and the local businesses. My family has resided in the Normandy Park/Des Moines area for over 28 years and we have enjoyed all that Southwest King County has to offer its residences.
